Title: Old software version
Post by: jodel119 on July 13, 2017, 04:41:04 pm
Hello,
Is it possible to get back to an old software version 20170223, I'm running EasyVFR on Nexus 7.1 and using the inbuilt GPS, all was fine until the latest update, and now the GPS will not connect to PA, I have tried different setting, but still no joy. I want to prove that it did work (and I was not seeing things).
Regards
Colin

You can make a full install to an old version
I will send you an PM

but to be clear, the feature you are relying upon, has not been supported since the first release.
I think it is pure luck that there was some code still kicking around that performed this.
The correct way to use PilotAware is for it to have its own GPS source.

Thx
Lee

Note that the GPS built into most tablets isn't WAAS/EGNOS (the Nexus isn't), so the altitude may not be entirely accurate. The GPS on the PAW is WAAS/EGNOS so should give better altitude readings and better height information against other PAW contacts.

Hello All,
GPS dongle on it's way, I should really try to keep up to speed, but it was showing aircraft on EV, (more by luck).
Thanks Lee
