I want to wire my new PAW audio output to my Dittel radio. I know that the Audio in should be wired to pin 5 on the Dittel plug, however, I am not sure which wire to use from my 3.5mm plug lead that goes into the PAW. My wiring on the Audio lead is as follows;
1. White wire - Tip
2. Red wire. - 1st ring near Tip
3. Earth Wire - Sleeve
Do I connect the Tip or the Ring wire to the Audio in on the Dittel (pin 5)? Also, does the earth wire need to be terminated on the Dittel or just to an earth on the aircraft?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Mark

For the Raspberry Pi - a definition of the TRRS (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) can be found here
http://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2014/07/raspberry-pi-model-b-3-5mm-audiovideo-jack
in essence
TIP - Left
RING - Right
RING - GND
SLEEVE - Video
The video is designed so it can be shorted to GND if required

Lee,
Thanks, as always, you feedback is swift and most welcome. I will connect the Tip on my TRS connector to my Audio in on the Dittel and the sleeve and the sleeve to earth.
Many thanks,
Mark
