Looks like some folks have configured their PAW as a basestation and connected to their router, you are ahead of the curve.
I have a feed in from Abingdon and Cambridge as far as I can tell ....

Tend to leave mine running configured as a base station when I'm not flying (i.e. 99.9% of the time!). I've got an ethernet connection handy and can leave it connected, anything else I need to do?

The Cambridge one was me, had it running for the first time in a little while today. Still need to sort out a permanent external aerial setup but been too busy.
Don't want to put it in the loft as the solar panels may hinder performance somewhat...
I did notice the outbound connection but didn't block it, at least I know what it's for now.

Hi Gareth,
Just plug it into your router and power it up.
Needs to be set to basestation in order to feed in to the server
Thx

Its quite lightweight, sends 24 bytes to the server for each signature.
I will further optimize this to detect that certain time/distance has elapsed
Thx

This is now coming to life, this is only with 3 basestations

Is there particular purpose/benefit to the project or just general interest?
