Title: Need to install own WiFi driver
Post by: janbenes on March 16, 2016, 01:21:41 pm
Hello!
I am using TP LINK TL-WN725N WiFi dongle. Drivers for it must be manually installed. However, I can not get out of "License Fail for..." loop to perform manual installation.

How can I get to LINUX prompt?

Thanks, Jan

Hi Jan,

PilotAware is a closed source (software) system, so you cannot gain internal access.
for the WiFi device you would require the RT5370 WiFi dongle.

I would suggest reading the following document
http://forum.pilotaware.com/index.php/board,5.0.html

and also the forum thread on known good hardware

Thx
Lee

You can get one of the working ones for a couple of quid from China, so it's not really worth persisting with other ones.

I've bought a few of these! :D
