Title: iGrid Dongle - working or not?
Post by: Altomar718 on August 11, 2025, 03:16:10 pm
I have an old Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which I thought of leaving in the aircraft. I have a Hotspot configured but on the 'Home Page' (192.168.1.1) and the box turns green, however, there is nothing written in the box. If I use my 'full time' phone it does show wlan and digits - is this normal as I do not know if it is actually connected to the grid ??

Thanks in advance

Hi Chris,

You say that you have a Hotspot configured, but the screenshots are telling me that there is no Hotspot available to your Rosetta. Was the hotspot definitely turned on on the relevant device (presumably your phone - unless you are saying that you have a sim in your Galaxy Note 3 Tablet - sorry, your post is very unclear on that point).

Did you check the settings on the PAW Network Screen to make sure the 4/5G Hotspot was on and being seen by your Rosetta and to make sure your Rosetta could connect to it?

Can you post screenshots of the network screen to show what is going on please.

Best Regards

Peter

Peter - Thank for the reply - sorry for the delay as I ha not been to the airfield but think it's sorted. I didn't realise the PAW and the Hotspot show up on the Network page and I had named them similarly, so in effect, had two ! - I deleted both and renamed and configured it all again and hopefully, now I know which is which, I hope it will work but still have to try it connection the the mobile network - Thanks
