Title: Occasionally PilotAware doesn’t show up on Plane Finder.
Post by: g-egbs on June 10, 2024, 05:56:06 pm
I’ve noticed that occasionally PilotAware doesn’t show up on Plane Finder even though it’s working normally in the flight.
Any thoughts on why this happens.

Is there any data for the same flights on Playback or Vector?

I’ve experienced exactly the same problem. The pilot Aware Rosetta has worked perfectly for the flight and on checking the Vector after the flight was working normally, but nothing showed up on Plane Finder.

Plane Finder detects ADSB, MLAT and has a Flarm feed. Small wonder it doesn't detect PilotAware.

If you've seen your aircraft on Plane Finder it is more likely to have been as a result of your Mode S transponder or ADSB, assuming you have either.
