Reading the instructions for a automatic software upgrade.
All seem straight forward upto
“After 20mins the software is downloaded to the PI,but the download
Needs to be implemented. This done by selecting install”
Where and how do I do this ??)
I assume after the download,I put back all the dongles etc and
Connect to my iPad To implement?
The information given is not too clear on this area of the process
If anyone can advise I would be grateful......
Many thanks

Colin,
I'm going from memory here, not updated my classic for a while.
After you have waited your 20 mins unplug from router.
Connect your WiFi dongle and log back into PAW.
Go to settings page.
Find software update click it.
You should then see a new file ready to be installed.
Install.
You will know when it's installed, your dongle will disconnect.
Try that.
Cheers

The original post indicates the SD card was not formatted correctly, to a single partition using the full size of the disk
if you have the option format size adjustment, ensure it is selected
which version of SD Formatter have you used ?
Thx

I have just re-read this first post.
as per instructions this release needs a full manual install for reasons too intense to describe.
automatic installations, will resume after this installation

Having carefully read all of the instructions for the 'manual' update of the Rosetta to bring it up to the latest version I don't feel at all confident in getting the right results. I would like to see a nice document (with pictures) showing each step. Perhaps starting:
1. Go to Currys and purchase a ???? micro SD card. (Do I need a USD converter as well?)
2. Insert SD card in PC and type ….. to format.
3. Remove end cap from Rosetta and …..
4. Remaining instructions
99. Re install Rosetta in aircraft.

Is this sufficient ?

Much better.
Being somewhat overcautious I will take the 'Pre-loaded SD card'. By the time I had found a suitable card etc. the pre-loaded one seems a much better bet and probably not much more expensive and I still have the original if it all goes pear shaped.
