Hi
I bought a Rosetta at Popham and now have the relevant Anker power pack. I have tried it once in the plane and have a couple of problems. If I connect in the garden, it all works except I cannot see the traffic on Skydemon. I can see it (the airliners mainly) on the radar. I have PAW slected in SD and when I set to 'go flying' I select PAW. It immedialey gives me my position as usual but no traffic (this is the same on iphone). I have the vertical limits in SD set to 45,000. I'm sure it is something as simple as a setting I have wrong.
Also on a different note, when I have it in the plane and had the audio cable connected to the headset (Bose A20), I had bad background noise constantly and really bad static when transmitting. I thought initially this was the power adaptor (before I got the power pack) that I was using (Anker again) as I had this problem before with different adaptors for charging Ipad, but this adapator has been ok. When I disconnected the audio cable all was well again. Also I could hear the traffic warnings but no traffic on SD.
Any help please
Thanks
Steve

Also I could hear the traffic warnings but no traffic on SD.
I'll leave the experts to deal with the difficult stuff but what traffic warnings were you expecting from Sky Demon? Unless it has changed very, very recently, SD does not have vocal audio. It will give you a warning tone but it won't tell you there's traffic 300' above, 2 o'clock, 2 kms. I have asked this to be included in SD but had an email two days ago saying they don't know when they're going to do it, even though Tim has said it is going to happen.
With the bad audio it might be worth getting an in-line ground loop isolator (Amazon, eBay etc). They seem to have solved every audio woe that has appeared on this forum.....but that may be a bit of my imagination :)

Hi Steve
Firstly please post screenshots of
1. Home Page
2. Configure Page
Lets address that first
Thx

Ok here I hope are the screenshots. When I bought it, one of your guys kindly did the setup for me.
Regarding SD, I was expecting to see symbols of aircraft and only expecting audio through the headset via the cable from PAW
Thanks guys

Hi Steve, all those settings look OK for flight and will avoid an overload of data and alerts.
Thought you have opened the filters wide in SD, the settings are very restrictive in PilotAware for testing the system.
Set the mode C/S vertical display range to 'all' (2000)
Under positional contacts settings
Set horizontal display range to 'all' (20km)
Set vertical display range to 'all' (2000)
Then click save at the bottom
In brackets are the figures I fly with, so once you have got used to the system I suggest you try these settings in flight. There is no need to change the filter in SD, but you need to make sure that 'show bearingless targets' is ON.

Great. That worked thank you. I can now see the aircraft. I will try it in flight next time I go to the plane. I’ll also try and get a ground loop isolator for the audio and try that.
Thanks for the help

one thing I would add :-
Positional Contacts Settings / Select Audio Warning Zones
This is set to 3km/5km/10km
This means
Generate a warning for an A/C each time it enters the following zones
10km / 2000ft
5km / 1000ft
3km / 500ft
Could this be your issue ?
Thx

Managed to fly on Saturday. All locked on and worked as advertised. Unfortunately not a lot of others flying so didn’t get any real alerts, but could see the airliners. Even the ground loop isolator seems to have cured the headset problem too.
Obviously all operator error.
Thanks for all the help
Cheers
