Title: New Raspberry Pi Transfer
Post by: Skrswift on April 27, 2018, 05:03:04 pm
Hi

I have been given a old Pilot Aware, just found out it’s the 3+, so I’m going to buy a new Pi online for £32.

Is it easy enough to transfer to the new PI?

Can I just move the SD card or is there something more complicated that needs to be done?

Thank you

The Current supported PI is the Pi2B
Transfer of license can be done with an email to support@pilotaware.com

You will be able to move the SD card IF it was loaded with a release capable of supporting the Pi2B
If not, it is not difficult to reload the software from clean
take a look at the operating manual there is a section describing this

Excellent, thank you.

I’ll upfate it to the latest release then transfer.

Hopefully it will work out ok.

Kind regards
