Always interested Walt - especially as I am also a Flycom user. In my case I was fortunate enough to have an external audio jack fitted by Dave Gray back in the day when he made all the Flycom units himself.

OK Peter, I see that Flycom do advertise on their website a black box with audio in and out and that would be the way to go if starting from scratch. I am not sure if the present owners would be as helpful as Dave was. The short answer for me was to feed the audio into the P2 mic connection in the box and after a bit of experimentation, fed it through a 47Nf capacitor. Pressing the ptt mutes the P2 mic and PAW audio. With this the audio is loud and clear.
As this is a modification, it will not endear you to Flycom of course. If anybody wants to do it I can give more detail.
