Hi All,
Has anyone written anything to monitor OGN-R station status? Just found my station had stopped working, then found it hadn't been working since the end of Jan! SDR dongle re seated, and all is now fine.
Something running centrally and emailing out once a day/week etc would seem helpful?
Cheers

Hi Kev,
I check on 'my' station using glider tracker.
http://glidertracker.org/#lat=52.117&lon=-1.219&z=9&id= (http://glidertracker.org/#lat=52.117&lon=-1.219&z=9&id=)
You can click on the station to check it is picking up traffic and also you get some basic stats shown in the top right corner of the screen.
You can also check using Grafana, but this only shows data from 'yesterday' and older.

Thanks @Deker, yes aware of those, but after a few weeks I get bored and just leave my station running, then when I come back to it today I found it had been offline for 2 months.
An email after it has been offline after 1 day, 1 week and 1 month would be great, enough to remind me to get it back online, not to much to annoy people?
Cheers

Hi Kev,
I was also thinking of putting it on a time clock so that it rebooted at sat 3:00AM each day.
But an email to inform of a problem would be the best way.

Yes a reboot would solve some problems, but my issue this time was a usb connection getting pulled. A reboot wouldn't solve that :) :)

Hi Kev
As you would suspect. I monitor the stations regularly to see new stations etc nearby 60 now.
I did notice that yours was off since January. I thought ah Fujitsu working you too hard or a long skiing trip.
I’ll let you know next time

Thanks Keith
Working hard between lots of short ski trips, yes :)
But usually got time to fix a bit of tech or two.
