Title: What is the Pilotaware connectivity option in SkyDemon ?
Post by: Easy Cruising on August 20, 2017, 09:20:51 am
Just noticed that SD has a connectivity option called Pilotaware. I use the FLARM connectivity which works fine. The Pilotaware one doesn't seem to work. Can anyone point to info about or explain the new option and why we would use it over the Flarm one ?

somebody will give you the full specification i'm sure,   but as far as i know using the Pilotaware log in on Skydemon allows you to use the 3/4G connection to get weather and airfield information without the phone or tablet looking for a Wi Fi signal,
there is obviously more to it than that but that's what i have been using, you also must have the latest pilotaware download for it to work,

To use the Pilotaware selection from SD, you need to be using the correct version of PilotAware 20170721 or later

Which version are you using?

Thx

Thanks all for the info. I have an older PA software version, will update some time.
