Technical Support / Losing Connection

I have the Rosetta which is new. I flew it yesterday and about 45 minutes into the journey I lost Pilot Aware, about a couple of minutes later it came back and over the intercom it said pilot aware. A few minutes later it went off again. I connected skydemon without pilot aware so I could get my naviation back, then I logged back in with pilot aware and it worked again. shortly after I landed so I presume the problem isn't fixed. It's not ideal.

Any ideas.

Technical Support / Can Alerts Be Turned OFF

Is it possible to turn off the alerts while either landing or taking off, as it's really distracting when you are bombarded with alerts when you are trying to call the tower.
I'm using Skydemon with an Ipad 4 mini, I noticed in the bottom right hand corner you can select silece alerts but I press that and nothing happens. Is there another way I can short tem turn them off.

Technical Support / Rosetta USB Problem

I need to plug something into one of the spare usb sockets to give me ADSB out, but the wifi dongle ( I think that's what it is ) is too wide to allow another plug to fit along side it. Anyidea how I can get around this problem. I have also tried it in the lower socket but it still will not fit.

Technical Support / Keeep Losing Signal

I'm having problems, all of a sudden it loses gp signal, then a few seconds later it comes back on. It seems to have got worse, to the point I can no longer use it. I presume the cause is the gps mouse. Am I right ?

I have a few problems. It seems to connect to the pilot aware wifi OK then when I go flying although it seems to see some aircraft they don't seem to be moving. Just like static on the display also there are no voice alerts any idea how I get them to work.

I'm pretty sure I've set everything up OK, but when I log into Skydemon, create my route and click on go flying, I select use pilotaware but then it shows my location at Popham even though I am based about 150 miles from Popham, any ideas what I am doing wrong ?

Technical Support / Latest Software Problem

I have just renewed my licence having not used the device for over a year, I decided to update the software, I followed the instructions but I have no idea if I have the latest version installed. How do I check ?
I left it connected via ethernet for half an hour but I don't think I've installed the software.

Technical Support / Rosetta Hard Wiring

I'm probably going to upgrade to the Rosetta and I thought there was going to be a small loom available to hard wire it into the aircraft. I can't find anyinformation it anymore so will have to make something myself.
Has anyone hard wired it in and would like to share how they did it.

Another problem, when I took to the air the PAW worked find and any aircraft visible had icons showing the direction, but after a while any new aircraft had no icons only voice alerts and the aircraft call sign. ?

Technical Support / Lost Connection

More problems, I took a flight from Shobdon to Kemble and everything worked fine. When I came to fly back to Kemble about ten minutes into the flight, the PAW stopped working, it came up lost connection so I had to disconnect from the flarm in flight to get Skydemon to work. When I tried to re connect it would not work, again saying connection problems, with butterfly connection whatever that is.

This weekend I did the exact same flight, again everything fine on the way there but again about ten minutes into the return flight the same problem, In more or less the same spot. Very odd.

After thinking abou this, the only thing I did when landing at Kemble was to turn off the tablet but I left the PAW still running as it's off a portable battery. I did this both times. I can't see this causing the problem but maybe I should turn off the PAW when I landed then restart it before flight ?

Any ideas. I'm starting to lose the will to live.

I installed everything following all instructions, it seemed to work, picking up commercial aircraft.
I flew it for the first time and it just doesn't work. Can't seem to pick up anything. I'm close to throwing it away. Any ideas.
