Title: SOLVED! - 5. Open Browser and type 192.168.1.1

Have a new unit and am setting it up - I have reached 5. on the sheet and entering the info does not take me to PilotAware Homepage. Help please???(open browser type 192.168.1.1

I am a computer dummy.
Go to settings on you tab and select wifi networks then " pilot aware" that will connect your tab to your pilot aware.
Then type 192.168.1.1 enter.

Hi Bobby,

As you say you have reached 5, I presume that you managed to successfully connect to the PilotAware WiFi, got the Mac Address from your PilotAware and obtained your licence key from the PilotAware Website by logging back onto the internet. Did you then remember to connect back onto the PilotAware WiFi before trying to connect to the PilotAware Home Page via 192.168.1.1 ?

5. Connect your navigation device to the PilotAware WiFi
Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the title bar.
This will take you to the PilotAware Homepage.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to try this while still connected to your home router - which definitely won't work!

If this doesn't solve your problem and you are definitely connected to your PilotAware WiFi, try keying in http://192.168.1.1 and see if that helps. With some browsers, when you type in an address they assume you are looking for a website on the internet and automatically prefix the address with 'www'. I know I had that problem when I first tried logging on way back, though I don't seem to have had it since. Still, worth a try.

The other thing to check is that you are using the supplied power cable and that your power supply is capable of supplying a minimum of 2 Amps at 5 Volts - a poor quality cable or inadequate power supply is the major cause of failure with the PilotAware so far as it just won't run if the supply voltage drops too low.

Hope this helps, please let us know either way and if it's still not working we can dig further.

Fantastic - Thanks for the advice- I had been trying for hours then suddenly it worked - my unit is now up and running.
