Technical Support / Re: Classic PAW hung after September 2020 update
« on: September 25, 2020, 05:21:49 pm »
Turns out that the update had completed but there was no screen refresh, hence apparent hang.
Closed PAW tablet session and restarted and all displayed OK

Have just tried to install new update to Classic PAW
Download seemed to go OK.
Device rebooted and red and green leds flash.
Tablet has reconnected with message 'Download and Resetting - DO NOT POWER OFF'.
This has been displayed for approaching half an hour or more.
Tempted to disconnect power and reboot?

I haver just had a look at the OGN list of ground stations, currently 140 not all working.
I assume you are in touch with the OGN people, any idea much would it cost to finance the existing
network?

I was wondering if "crowd funding" might help?

General Discussion / Re: Building a PilotAware.

I Know that this is an old thread.
I have been away for sometime and need to get up to speed on where the project is now.
Before I left there had been a request for a 'kit list' and a source of supply.
I see that there is a thread on known good hardware but having read it am non the wiser.
I have requested an update from the hardware site when components are available but am unsure how long this will be.
I am happy to build but would like the guidance on the the best course.

Fine - I have the same view on FLARM and their marketing. Suppose their alternative is Mk1 eyeball again!  ::)

Not into software but as Ex Aircraft Avionics (1960 apprentice) I will build a device but wait until GPS is integrated and it works on Android  :)

Another Android user here.
