Thank you, I've emailed the support team and asked for a replacement aerial.

In regards to the GPS it is now working. It took a long time to acquire the satellites but it finally did. I've turned it off/on again several times and it seems fine.

Hi,

I've broken my 869.5 aerial on my Rosetta and wondered where I can get a replacement. I've had a look around the PilotAware store but can't see any spare parts and I'm not sure which aerial I need to replace it.

I also can't pick up any GPS co-ordinates on the web interface of the Rosetta. Is that linked to the same aerial?

Thanks,
Abe

General Discussion / Re: 3.5mm to Microphone adapter cable?

Hi Gerry,

Aha, I'd not thought of trying it that way as I was trying to get in to the MIC in so I could mute it via the audio panel and so that any RHS passenger could also hear the alerts.

This is a good option though and for the cost I think I'll give it a go.

Thanks for your help.

Abe

General Discussion / 3.5mm to Microphone adapter cable?
« on: September 04, 2018, 09:32:28 am »
Hi All,

I purchased a Rosetta PAW unit at the LAA rally and I'm looking forward to my first flight with it later this week weather permitting.

Currently I rent club aircraft while I'm building my RV7 and I'd like to hook the audio into the intercom somehow. Being a club aircraft there are no aux inputs in the audio panel so I would need to use some sort of cable to go from the PAW 3.5mm jack into one of the rear passenger jacks.

My headset is a basic David Clark so it doesn't have bluetooth or Aux input either.

I've done a simple search but I can't find any such cable. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and found a solution to this?

Thank you,

Abe
