Technical Support / Re: RV Installation

Fitting and mounting Rosetta to a full metal airframe is obviously a different ball game to mounting on a flexwing or Fabric aircraft with little or no obstructions.
If Rosetta had 'Antenna diversity' then a top antenna could also be fitted to the fuselage. A thought for future Rosetta versions maybe?

Alan.

Technical Support / Re: Connect PAW with Powermouse

Thanks for the quick reply Peter.
That is a disappointment that a V3+ or simiar LED just wouldn't work with Rosetta. Having a dedicated traffic display in the small size format of these small LED display units is what appeals. I don't want Traffic and Nav mixed up in on an EFB it creates just too much screen clutter.
Also the Aircrew unit whilst a brilliant initiative it presently is just too large for my panel, so perhaps I will just have a look again at the Pilotaware Radar option.

Thanks again,

Alan.

Following this thread I have found very interesting from the use of a Flarm display viewpoint and the connection of Rosetta to FlarmBat.
What I would like to know though has anyone tried connecting via RS232 Rosetta to a separate Flarm V3+display or the LX equivalent small display?
I suppose the question is, is the Rosetta protocol output compatible with the V3+?....this thread has suggested it just might be?

Would it be rude to ask why you are selling it?

What a minefield! :(

re- 18AWG,. No sorry, my mistake, it is 20AWG but same question. Will it be ok over a 2metre run from the Charge2 behind the panel to the Rosetta mounted behind the seat do you think?
The alternative I suppose is to put the Rosetta behind the panel and then have 2metre Co-ax runs to the antennas?
Which is preferable, Power drop or Signal drop do you think?

I am also interested in doing similar to what PaulSS is doing but in my case from a Charge2 which will also have an IpadMini2 in it. (Wish I had fitted a Charge4 when I built the aeroplane!)
What I am concerned about is the power drop to a Rosetta via say a 18AWG wire over 2m? Will this be a problem do you think?

Question from a newbie on here!
Does anyone know if the Bluetooth in Mk1 Lightspeed Zulus work ok or are they like early Bose not suitable for audio?
