Technical Support / Power Warnings
« on: July 03, 2020, 08:44:18 am »
Hi, I've just fired up my PAW for the first time since October 2019 in anticipation of flying this weekend, but am getting Warnings and the odd Error on the Power/Throttle line on the front page.

I've drained and recharged the year-old Anker PowerCore 10000 overnight, but am still seeing these errors this morning.  I'm using the PAW supplied power lead.

Could the lead degrade this fast?  There are no kinks or twists in the cable and it's been stored loosely coiled in the box.

Thanks
Dave

Unfortunately they've just put a mode S in that plane, so no good for the test.  I've booked the mode C plane for 7 Sep and will report back.

Apologies I haven't been around.  Attached is the screen shot as requested.  I am flying tomorrow afternoon so will give it another go then.  If you can, let me know if I need to tweak any settings before I go.

Thanks!

My plane only has mode C at the moment, so when I fly I assume therefore I am transmitting two signals, the mode c and PAW, so I fit the scenario described above?

Does this also explain why I see a red circle around my plane in SD, even though I've put the hex code in the PAW config?

Thanks Peter - I'll check that this weekend.

Regarding the "http://ognrange.onglide.com/?#,coverage,recent,51.86699_2.38341,6,#80000040:#008000ff,circles;" website - is this no longer reporting correctly?

I flew from Rochester to Goodwood on Saturday, but didn't see any sign of OGN on my Skydemon display.  It might be me, but according to the ognrange.onglide.com "Likely Coverage" all sites are either red or mauve.  Are they all down?

I hope it's something I've done wrong!

Thanks, Dave
