There are commercial movements outside of CAS in a number of locations around the UK. Also, there places abroad where Class E is prevalent and you can find IFR and uncontrolled VFR traffic mixing it separated only by 500'.
In all these circumstances, filtering out of 'commercial' traffic would be unwise.
Another factor to be considered is that of wake turbulence. There are plenty of videos on YouTube and the like of serious upsets to GA aircraft caused by proximity to CAT. If operating under a CTA or TCA where there are movements of large aircraft, I think I'd rather know where they are than pretend they didn't exist.

Both the Trig TT31 and its King clone (same guts, difference faceplate) are similar in size to the Garmin 327, but you'd need to check the exact dimensions. Much cheaper than the Garmin equivalents.

It will work perfectly if you fly more then one machine, as the SSID doesn't care what machine you are in!

It's not been my experience that iOS drops the connection when pulling up another app. I have often done this when checking the PAW browser screen for traffic details, or changing a setting, and still been able to go back to SkyDemon with no problems. As a precaution, I aways try to restart the machine just before flying and only load apps which I actually will want to use, just to eliminate any chance that an irrelevant app running silently in the background interferes with things.
Closing the lid on the cover, if you have one, or otherwise putting the device to sleep will drop the connection.

Hi Lee,
When I get back from the US I'll collect and send you some more.
Perhaps the low signal level is due to relative positioning of the PAW (coaming) and the transponder antenna (further back under belly of aircraft). When I gather some more track data, I'll move the PAW to a different location, perhaps by the rear pax side window.

Hi Lee, I snapped this on the iPad when I downloaded the logs. It's not from the date of the flight, but nothing changed in the set up since.

Hi Lee, the PAW box is in the aircraft 7 miles away now, and I won't be going there for another two weeks as I'm off to the US on business tomorrow morning! I do remember noticing on the ground that the PAW QNH was 1032 - exactly that as given by both Sleap and Welshpool over the RT.
Next time I fly, if I see the same symptoms I'll take some screen shots. Remind me again how I save the Track Logs?
