Thanks Peter for the very detailed reply. I had a concern it was related to the old transponder, but last flight it worked ok. Perplexing, but gives a higher likelihood that it's a connection problem relating to vibration in the a/c. Any more problems and I'll follow your suggestion of opening the case and checking for connection issues.

Technical Support / Re: iGrid connection

I use split screen on my tablet to show both SkyDemon and PAW Radar. If interested take a look at our Nynja.

When I fly the PAW shows a red for P3I on the Home screen. Status, 1090, Barometer and GPS all show green. Doesn't pick up nearby aircraft although GPS location is ok on SkyDemon.

When I take it home to check all 5 go green. It's done this a couple of time so it doesn't seem to be a radio bridge problem or a loose connection.

What else could it be?

Technical Support / Split-screen display
« on: August 15, 2022, 07:34:39 pm »
The split-screen display works fine for me on an Android tablet and an iPad Mini 4. But in both cases a lot of the radar display is taken up by the address bar and tabs. Has anyone managed to get the browser to display full screen so you don't lose this space?

I've got the same issue on both iOS and Android. Any way to get hotspot tethering via Bluetooth or USB?
Another issue: how to get browser full screen on paw.local/192.168.1.1. would be helpful on both iOS and Android when using split screen.

Technical Support / Re: Loss of Position

I had the same problem that I couldn't understand. I had lost position but when I played the track back later it was all there. PAW was running all the time, but not communicating to SD. Sent logs and home screen snapshot to PAW. Their response, you guessed it, was a power problem even though I was using the recommended Anker PowerBank. The info I sent showed voltage throttling which gives unreliable performance. Turns out the problem was the cable. Replaced with the original JuiceBitz cable and now sorted.

Technical Support / Rosetta boot time and wi-fi dropout
« on: June 07, 2018, 10:25:01 am »
The boot time of my Rosetta running the May update 20180520 seems to take about 150 seconds to boot rather than the 90 seconds I was expecting. Occasionally also it seems to reboot unexpectedly. Is this a known issue?

The problem with this is that you lose SD also because it uses the Rosetta GPS not the internal one. Then you have to do 'Go Flying' again after 2 1/2 minutes. Inconvenient on take-off! Any reason why SD can't continue using its own GPS and only take the other aircraft location from Rosetta?
