Hear Hear - £12 for a licence - what a bargain

Should keep them snacks while they work out enhancements - bug fixes etc

General Discussion / ARF Board
« on: November 05, 2015, 01:50:07 pm »
Hi Chaps,

Is the best advise still to build without the ARF board fro now ?

Have 3 or 4 flyers wanting a unit building but mainly for visibility amongst themselves or mode C

Given that Mode C without GPS doesn't display ( i think ) is the best advise to wait until the ARF issues are fixed or a replacement sorted ?

Best,

Chris

General Discussion / adsb antennas
« on: October 20, 2015, 09:45:54 pm »
Okay got a result on mine today

But not picking up all or even most of the adsb traffic reported in the area by flight radar.

So I'm thinking maybe it's the antenna supplied ?

Does that sound reasonable?  If so I'd like to mount a replacement to the pi case

Any ideas ?

Chris

Is there an easy way to test the ADS-B signal.

So Far i've not seen any other aircraft on Sky Demon..

Plugged it in and set it up in the car on the way in this morning - still nothing.

So its either I'm doing something daft or the ADS-B isn't working.

** addition ""

So looking on the forum - i should be selecting use FLARM for location services ? but then I get stuck with Seeking GPS Satelites... i have an Iphone 6  - GPS works fine if i select use location services.

Any Ideas ?

Getting ready to turn mine one.

Noticed when I started soldering there was a notice warning people to check the V out put.

does that still need doing ? if so over what pins ?

Best,

Chris
