By adding a FLA*M mouse to PAW we will see FLA*M targets. Will the FLARM mouse provide mode a/c bearingless targets alerts? Or have they not marstered tend that yet.

Technical Support / SOLVED! Mode S Rings
« on: July 24, 2016, 04:54:28 pm »
Hi,  Last week I updated to the latest version of PAW, flowed by a ground test and was presented with audio and the warning rings around the aircraft on Sky Demon. A flight today presented full audio warnings but no rings around the aircraft or the piggyback aircraft. Has anyone had a similar thing? The only difference is that Skydemon has had an update to the latest.

How are the tests coming along with Mode A/C? I had a too close a contact today which was probably Mode A/C ?

Hi all, I have installed the little amp that Lee pointed out on e bay. I can get good volume.  Testing in the hangar I am getting an annoying amount of interference.

Would the spare USB on PAW power a USB powered mini speaker like this one on eBay? May be worth a try?

Just to add to your request. Could we connect direct to PAW via tablet to USB ?

Hi Richard,
Not sure I understand.
How can you connect to an iPad using USB ?
The only physical connectivity to an iPad is via the official hardware,
https://developer.apple.com/programs/mfi/
and to do this you need to join the MFI (made for ios) program
this is an expensive route to go down.

Thx
Lee

Hi lee, you have answers my question. I just thought that it may be possible to conect direct to the PAW via the USB cable instead of using the wifi to stop accidentally connecting to another near by PAW. With Apple there is always a silly cost with there development tool. Never mind it was just a Thourght . Thank you.

That's good. The divce I had seen on there stand a couple of years ago was probably just used for demo the Sky Demon product. Now they are using the PAW it's a grate advertisement.   ;D

As far as I know sky demon have had there own device for a few years now but it's just an ADSB receiver I was always told by Tim when I asked him "Are you going to make that ADSB receiver avalble? Yes was his reply we are develaping it.... " then comes along PAW. So it could be there own device in use, but not sure.

You are correct the traffic is under "traffic" when you log into 192.168.1.1 if you can not see it. What version are you using?
