Title: Spiky speed on FlightRadar - clues ?
Post by: Birdyboy1 on April 05, 2021, 09:01:41 pm
All ok on seeing traffic reporting to SD etc but looking on FlightRadar24 my speed playbacks are spiky, wonder why that could be, its clearly reporting height ok.
I have a Classic but also with a feed in from a FLARM core.
Any clues anyone?

Is the speed still spiky when you play back your own track on Aircrew?

Fr24 is reported from your transponder not pilotaware

Can you describe your transponder setup ?

Sounds like a ‘Funke’ issue to me, but I will be interested to hear what transponder (make and model) you are using, what the GPS source is and how they are connected.

I have considerable experience of running both FlarmMouse and PFC with both Classic and Rosetta with no issues, though as per Lee’s post, this should have no significance in relation to FR24 (unless of course you are using PAW or your PFC as the GPS source for your Mode-S/ES).
