Technical Support / Re: Rosetta volume output too low
« on: October 06, 2019, 08:20:54 am »
Can a 4 pole be used on the PAW side into 3 on the headset side? I have the older PAW i.e. not Rosetta and have problems with one of my headsets.

The volume in the passive in ears is excellent yet the ANR won't work unless ANR is switched on and the volume levels are very poor when it does work.

Hi Peter,

Yes. Settings are as described but will double check and re-boot.

Many thanks,

Sean

New one on me too and it consistently denied me the traffic page only but home, configure etc were there. Seemed fine later so will see what happens. Will be looking at it again tomorrow morning and will see what happens.

In France and very little showing up at low level but all the commercial high level stuff is there. One or two low level shows on Flightradar24 but nothing showing on PAW and wasn't logged on when we had very low level military go through so don't know if they broadcast anything.

Here for a few more days if you want me to try anything that helps at your end Lee.

I'm abroad (France) at present and will be showing my PAW to a french based pilot tomorrow who is interested. I have it showing traffic on Skydemon but I now can't open PAW via the browser. I get an error 404 message. This started yesterday initially with just the traffic page but I now can't open anything. Operating on my Nexus 9 which I use for flying and has been very reliable.

Any ideas anyone?

Edited to say that firstly it has had a partial self resolve in that only the traffic page was showing as 404 not found and then it too has reappeared. All very odd.

Message deleted due to being thick and forgetting that I had used the USB method before. Now have new version installed! Doh

Will add my 'yes please if possible' to the list. I've tried saving as a bookmark or favourite but no joy as yet.

Here is a bump for the map. There must be loads of working units out there now. It would be good if as many of us as possible were on the map?

Rumour has it that my two neighbouring airfields have units but I haven't had any contacts on SD as yet. Loads of others

Technical Support / Saving Radar Settings
« on: December 04, 2016, 06:23:24 pm »
Is this possible as can't find reference to it or a save button? It defaults back to max settings when the page is reopened?

Thanks,

Sean

Technical Support / Re: Radar on Samsung Galaxy Ace 3
« on: December 04, 2016, 05:39:07 pm »
Hi Barrie,

Had the same thing on a Samsung Galaxy S3 and Lee advised using a different browser Chrome on the phone and it has worked. I don't know what the default browser is on the phone but will use Chrome now.

Hi Lee,

It is a Samsung Galaxy S3, Android 4.3. However I have just used it with Chrome as the browser and success. So definitely browser specific on my phone.

Good work on all this! Much appreciated.

Sean

Just having my first look at it and well impressed. For some reason it will work on my iPhone but not on Samsung Android. Any ideas?

Hi Sean
Unfortunately its down to the web browser.
Latest versions of chrome seem to work well.
How old is the android and what browser does it use ?
We should gather information about known good android/browser combinations

Thx
Lee

These are the only chips I understand I'm afraid. The rest is gobbledegook to me

Probably will! I'm assuming you techies know what definitely won't work!

Yes, TV dongles with something other than the R2832U interface chip won't work. Most tuner chips will work to some degree, though I've personally got one with an E4000 which is fairly deaf at ADS-B frequencies, but it does work, just (it's good for higher frequencies than the R820T though, so has its uses). Anything with the R2832U interface chip and the R820T tuner chip should work ok, including the new (as the above linked unit uses) R820T2 chip which is more sensitive.

Thanks Brinzlee, I'll be keen to hear how you get on.

Sean

I ordered one last week for another project.....It's in transit with UPS.....I'll let you know if it works with PAW when it arrives.....Certainly looks well made and hopefully will address the issues of porting some of that heat away from its main chipset.
