Title: 3D
Post by: Sapper732 on July 09, 2019, 11:43:06 am
Hi, I have downloaded the new software and I can see the config page shows MODE=3D, but when I look at the radar it appears as 2D. Can anyone help please.
Many thanks,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

Lee beat me to it. I was going to say....

The setting you refer to on the Configure Screen says ‘Mode-S/3D’, which refers to the new PilotAware feature to display otherwise ‘Bearingless’ (i.e. no horizontal position) Mode-S Aircraft in ‘3D’ on various Nav Systems as a moving (known position) Aircraft with Relative altitude.

PilotAware doesn’t display in 3D on the Radar Screen.

Looks like you didn’t read the obligatory advisory document on the PilotAware.lode software downloads page!  >:(

Please feel free to come back to us if you still don’t understand after reading the operating instructions and Mode-S/3D advisory.

Regards

Peter

Hi, thanks for replies. Did read it, but I'm afraid I'm a bit old in the tooth and it takes a while to understand tech stuff until I've played with it a while.
