I'd test it, but it worked for me anyway.  I do have an Android tablet here that I should be able to put a SIM into (if I can find an adapter) to give that a try too if needed.

Hi Jeremy

This issue was not present in kernel 3.x, I presume that is what you have ?

Thx

Sorry Lee, still not working.
I have checked the version has changed to 20170706

iPad still shows the wifi icon not the 3g/4g  and looking at the network config it shows router and DNS as 192.168.1.1

And i have confirmed that i cannot navigate any internet site.

Hi Lee

Not sure the relevance of this and your latest fix....I have downloaded it and applied it anyway so in summary I have version 20170706 running on 4.4.34-v7+
I never used to get connectivity issues at all but now SkyDemon keeps reporting loss of contact and going into offline mode at the bottom of the screen even though its set to online while planning only. The only thing I could do to stop this was to manually adjust the settings from DHCP to Static in WiFi connections (iPad) and delete the line for the DNS. This resolves this issue. Is this the Jessie update causing the issue on dnsmasq

Kind regards

Brinsley

I hadn't really thought about it before, but the current default for network settings is causing SkyDemon to trigger a pop up message that is going offline. It appears that the PAW is giving the impression that it can provide Internet access, which SD tries to use for weather and NOTAM data, and of course fails. Setting a static IP with only an IP and a Mask should resolve that?

Hi Brinz

I am confused, I have not released the fix to the 3g/4g issue
I gave a private link to Adrian, so what did you install?

Btw, I would recommend a 'forget network', and shut down restart wifi

One other comment
I think it is the router option not dns in the static settings which needs removing
