PAW at Top Farm Cambridgeshire.

On my way to Cambridge last night had a PAW contact on the ground with hash tags, shortly after these disappeared but hex code remained. Later returning to Sandy aircraft was flying, still no hash tags. Any reason? my group ID was PAWGRP but Flight ID FLYUK on the return I was running ADSB via the feed from PAW.

Hi Brian,

Looks like the owner must have changed 'Group-ID' away from PAWGRP, which would make the hash marks disappear as he/she was now no longer using the same group ID as yourself. My guess is that they have mistakenly put their 'aircraft ID' (Reg) in the 'Group ID' slot or just not entered their reg at all. With no entry in the Flight ID slot, PAW will transmit its 'Hex' instead - which is what you were seeing later.

Regards

Peter

I agree, you have differing GroupID, and hence will not get the '#' bracketing
Would also be good for that A/C to use the FlightID field rather than the auto generated value

Thx
