Success !   Yay !   
It was the 'resizing' part of the SD Card format that I must have skipped in error.

It still took me a couple of goes.....but I got there eventually.

And thanks JC for your offer too.   

I'm now seeing my Pilotaware on my wifi.......so the next step is licensing and config. 
That'll be fun - for later.   😉
