SOLVED! - Pilot Aware Ready Built Unit - licence fail
« on: June 02, 2016, 04:47:11 pm »
Hi,
I have just gone through the procedure sheet included with my PAW but on using with SkyDemon I get an error about connecting to butterfly unit.
I have checked the log file and it  reports a licence fail at B827EB4E63D4 which is the address shown on my WiFi connection.
I have checked endlessly that the above code and the licence code are correct making sure that there are only (0) shown and not (O).
I have no idea what to do next.
Any help appreciated.

Further information
I decided to reboot under the configuration tab and tried again.
I have lost the licence error message but the script keeps stalling at "Starting Pilot Aware"

Hi Paul,

Just to confirm, the legal characters in the license file are

Code: [Select]
0-9
A-F
Sometimes the letter O is used where it should be a number 0, and also
the number 8 gets confused with the letter B, and vice versa

Can you just check these are correct ?

Also, can you post a screenshot of the PilotAware homepage
http://192.168.1.1

Thx
Lee

Hi Paul,

That all looks good, License entered correctly and an expiry date.
So could you explain what the problem is ?
I dont quite understand

but the script keeps stalling at "Starting Pilot Aware"

What script are you referring to, I'm a bit confused ?

Have you tried connecting your navigation software ?

Thx

Sorry, I was referring to the log script.
I think the unit maybe working looking at the log file, but when I go the Sky Demon and "go flying" it correctly asks me if I want to connect to FLARM but then comes back with an error connecting to butterfly unit.
All the best,
Paul

Just cracked the problem. The Air connect value was set at 1234 not 6000.
Working beautifully.
Congratulations to all the team that have worked so hard on our behalf.
All the best
