Just as an info comment. In the latest edition of the EAA magazine there is a detailed description for building, from a Raspberry Pi and components, a very similar unit to the Pilot Aware. It is set up for the American systems. It also has a 3D printer thingy for a suitable box to house it all.

I'm guessing that's what I've built. I've been trialing it here in Pittsburgh, seems to work pretty well.

If anyone's got any questions I can possibly answer them. I haven't got the AHRS bit going, but the PAW equivalent bits work.
