It has also come to our attention in a couple of cases that the power supply has been shared between for example an iPad and PilotAware
This effectively halves the current capacity - when a tablet device is low on power, it draws a large constant current

Good advice Lee, and perhaps another one for the manual.
In my case I have my PAW powered direct off its own power brick and nothing else is plugged into the brick. My iPad (with SkyDemon) is plugged via an anker socket into the plane. The iPad would in fact lose charge whilst flying because of the cheapy lead I was using to charge it with - required a 20AWG high power charging lead as well.
