I did what you said, but nothing new, it still work with Flarm connectivity option but doesn’t with PilotAware connectivity option.
Please have a look on attached shot and tell me if there is mistake somewhere

Hi Barbeau

Can you please download this app from the app store
UDP / TCP / Rest Network Test Utility by Paul Lamberti

Connect to the paw hotspot
Run the app listening on port 2000
This should work in both TCP and UDP modes

Thx
Lee

Hi Barbeau,

Fairly straightforward. Start your PilotAware and connect the device with the App to the PAW WiFi Hotspot. Start the App, select UDP at the bottom left and in the top left box, type in 192.168.1.1, then in the box under ‘Local Port (Optional)’ enter 2000 and click on ‘Listen’. If your PAW is transmitting data, you will see a series of messages appear. Lee may want you to look for specific messages, but in the meantime try to get the app working first and let us know what you see.

Regards

Peter

Hi Peter
I did what you told me, but it doesn't work in UDP mode (cf screen shots)
But in the other mode it seems working well.
What do you think?

If you have done a full install with the latest version of PAW as Lee requested and you still have the issue, then to me UDP is being blocked on your phone. Do you have another tablet or phone available to test with?

Since we don't yet know what the issue is, I couldn't say if we can resolve it. There shouldn't be any issues with the PAW.
You haven't confirmed that you have done a reformat of your SD card and reinstall?

Yes Indid a reformât of SD card and install’the Last software as described in the manual.
About reinstalllation everything works as described.
If it’s Iphone or IPad wich blocks UDP mode do you know the way to solve it?

You only mention an iPad Air 2, have you tried it on an iPhone as well.

I cannot find it, but I've got a feeling you are not in the UK? It would be far easier to investigate face-to-face. I'm not one of the PAW management team, but it would seem sensible to ship the unit back to them for testing. Perhaps one othe team can comment?

This does not make sense to me :-\
Either the WiFi works or it does not, I have gone back to your logging page snapshot, and I see

Code: [Select]
Clients | Connected Wifi=0 TCP=0
I would expect to see at least 1 WiFi client which is the one you are using to connect to PilotAware
Are you using a fixed IP, or DHCP to get your IP Address ?

PilotAware/UDP only sends to the IP Addresses of known WiFi clients, this starts to make sense, why it is not working
it does not know that a WiFi client has connected over dhcp

thx

Lee,

See my post back on page 1 - Reply No.7. I still think this is the same effect I was seeing on and off since January. My only concern is that I only experienced this a few times, barbeau seems to be experiencing it every time he tries to connect via UDP. If it is the same issue, the good news is that the ‘UDP fix’ due in the next update should sort it as I haven’t experienced this issue since I started running the latest ‘Beta’. In the meantime I would suggest barbeau should use the ‘FLARM’ Connectivity option.
